Today I want to share this quote of @naomirwolf, because it explains nicely why I choose working with female sexuality. Because working with female sexual pleasure is so much more then sexuality, or just pleasure. The vagina is a gateway to the female soul, and therefore to your deepest truth. A homecoming and freedom.

• Celebrating our 3 year anniversary today! It

• Celebrating our 3 year anniversary today!

It has been beautiful to reflect this past week on my relationship with @davidhoustonsound . On how we met, how I had to go back to Holland, how I soon felt that I wanted to give our special connection a chance, how irrational that choice was, and also that I felt this was the only right thing to do. A voice deep inside of me assured me it was a good leap of faith to take.

On how we struggled, how we are the perfect match in the sense of deep clashing childhood wounds (lots of potential growth and healing, but scary as fuck). On how wobbly we have been at times, and on how I learned to stay when things get difficult, instead of walking away. On how I learned to communicate my truth, even when I thought he was going to leave me when he would see the real me. I spoke, he stayed. I gained back my trust. My trust in men, trust in myself and my trust that intimate relationships can be fulfilling and liberating.

Our celebration took us to a most lovely place, @nimalodge. And we did what we do very well: spending time in magical places, being, cooking epic meals, napping, making love, hiking, swimming, creating silence, sparking creativity and bathing (the first time we had a bath that fitted both of us, with straight legs!).

Thank you Dave, for being your magical self and co-creating this crazy beautiful life together. Happy Anniversary. I love you and I can’t wait for the many adventures that lie ahead of us.

Every week I choose 3 songs to start my week with. Dancing with other women, connecting through our bodies. It is an interesting process because the only thing that I am insecure about is my choice of music. There is no shame or insecurity anymore of sharing my dancing body, I don’t mind people watching me, seeing me. My choice of music however is a different game. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Last Monday I felt that I needed some darkness. Some Mondays I need light, sometimes I need funny. And deep down I still carry the belief that women want light and funny, and not the dark. Although I know women are craving it. To let their primal come to the surface, their wild, even if they are not aware of it. We all have a beautiful beastly animal inside of us. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Just before the dance started something made me very angry and irritated, and I knew the songs were going to help me. Moving through the dark, let the emotions flow and breathe, to eventually feel some happy tunes in the end. Reminding me that pleasure and joy can be found in all. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And of course, the song I was most scared of playing was received very well. People loved it. Kim send me a message afterwards what the dance had done to her: ‘Connecting to other women, each from their own lives. After the dance I sat, and looked at life from my body, feeling like a just had a massage’. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

When I think back of my teenage years I get these beautiful memories of myself feeling confident in my sexiness. In that what sexiness means to me. It was creative, it was playful, it was flirty and in my eyes sexy :) Over the years I have felt criticized and looked at, and slowly the innocence of my younger me faded. Sometimes it came out again, but unfortunately I needed alcohol for that. I did not feel safe showing it. Especially, I came to realize lately, amongst other women. Working with this, and increasing the safety, and knowing when and when not to share my sexiness with the outside world, has been incredibly liberating! I am connected with her again, the innocent, playful, sensual, creative and flirty part of me. And I have found outlets to share her with the outside world.

We’ll start tomorrow evening with a beautiful small group of women. And we have still space for you. Please join us if you want to initiate yourself, with other women, into the liberating, creative and intuitive world of womanhood.

Climax for example is an optional aspect and sometimes not even the most pleasurable and fulfilling for a woman. Feeling and expressing primary emotions is healing and cleansing. Secondary emotions aren’t, they are covering the primary emotions because they are too big or painful. On a deeper layer, if you think about it. Lots of emotional wounding and trauma is sourced from a lack of love, or the perception of the lack of love. Most of the mystical traditions (like Tantra and Taoism), and effective modern therapies, state that real transformation exists when it is sourced from a place of love. Meaning that all of you is welcomed, embraced, feels loved and feels that is belongs. Also meaning that when you trying to change yourself of fix yourself from a sense of unworthiness or that you are lacking something, this transformation never really bears fruit. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

That is why Module 2: Bathe in Body Love of my Free Your Feminine program is all about self-love. And we use the sensual body to tap into the parts that we reject or ignore. To welcome this part or these parts back, and to really make them feel home again in your own body and mind. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I once came across the quote: ‘Don’t believe everything you think’. And like you probably know, sometimes you need to hear things many times before you really feel that AHA moment. For me it was then. Off course you shouldn’t believe everything you think, because it is just one of the many truths out there. Maybe this story evolved over time to protect yourself, and the story started to live in your body as well as a way of protection. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
�For example a woman who has a hard time feeling attracted to her husband, might have the believe that s*x is dirty. This believe lives as a contraction in her hips and vagina which shuts her down sexually. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Your story is creating emotions and your emotions affect your sexual functioning, and how you are experiencing life. It is that simple :)

Next to that it is that simple, it is super important to understand this, because it shows you that you are not broken. Nothing is wrong with you. But like in the example, this is why she has a hard time feeling attracted to her husband. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

• Here is why your MAYBE is incredible important

Yesterday I spoke to a friend and while she was explaining her difficulty with making a decision to take on a project or not, I asked her if she could allow herself to be with her maybe. To not have a Yes or a No ready, yet.

Over the last months I really started to value the maybe. It comes a part of my work with boundaries in sexuality and being touched or penetrated. However it is such an important part of decision making and sadly not often appreciated in our society.

My friend and I had a beautiful chat about how choosing a No when you aren’t ready can be as much be experienced as crossing your own boundary as choosing a Yes when you aren’t. What often happens is that the person you are relating to in that moment desires a yes or a no, and you wanting to honor or please that. The question is, do you allow yourself to have a maybe? And to explore the maybe until it becomes clear to you if it is a yes or a no. Maybe the person you relate to can’t wait for that, and that is okay. It is important that you both stay true to yourself. To really feel into how you are feeling about it. And, if you are like me, that can take a while.   I am not talking about not making a decision out of fear to choose. I am talking about daring to stay with your maybe, and requesting the space and time you need. In honoring of yourself, and to respect your body.   What would it mean to you to create time and space for your maybe’s? And what is holding you back?

What is the Sensual Self-Care Sister Circle?
In this sister circle I will guide through dance, meditation and a practice to care for and give love to your sensual self. It is a sacred and safe space in which you will come together with other women to celebrate and explore your body, your sensuality, the goddess inside of you.

 The Journey of the Sensual Self-Care Sister Circle
It has been a deep desire for a while now. Bringing women together, creating an open and safe space to take care of our sensual selves. To touch our own bodies, our minds and souls. To bring in allowance to work with these parts of ourselves, to awaken the sleeping parts and to empower the parts that are playing small.

I want to share tools and practices that have helped me to become more and more alive in my own body. To feel the possibilities and the capacity my own body and mind have. To play. To explore. To really re-remember what it is to be a woman. Choosing pleasure. And I don't mean only sexually, but giving yourself permission to experience ease in your life. To choose pleasure, ease and joy, by connecting to those places in your body that are made for that.

Doing these practices and tools in a group of women is even more powerful. The more, the merrier. No worries if you want to keep things private, my virtual space is excellent for that, we will switch video and audio off the moment we start the practice. And we have a chat box to share our experiences.
